Did you know that Shaggy’s best-selling album, ‘Hot Shot’, is certified 6x platinum in the US?
‘Hot Shot’ was released in August 2000 and has thus far sold over 6.9 million copies in the US, according the Nielsen SoundScan, as the 70th best-selling album in the US since 1991. Moreover, the record has been certified 6x platinum by the RIAA.
Shaggy notched a pair of #1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 from ‘Hot Shot’. ‘It Wasn’t Me (Ft. Rikrok)’ and ‘Angel (Ft. Rayvon)’ topped the chart in 2000 and 2001, respectively. Watch the video for ‘Angel’ below:

Really?! I wasn’t aware that Shaggy was that popular. I knew that “It Wasn’t Me” was a big hit but I didn’t know that people actually bought his album.
