Pop megastar Britney Spears.

Did you know that Britney Spears has two diamond-certified albums in the US?

Both ‘…Baby One More Time’ and ‘Oops!… I Did It Again’ have been certified diamond by the RIAA with current US sales at 10.56 million and 9.20 million copies, respectively. In fact, the former LP has been certified a stunning 14x platinum in the US.

With the exception of ‘Blackout’, which actually topped 1 million copies in sales, all of Spears’ studio albums have been certified at platinum or greater in the US. ‘Britney’ is 4x platinum, ‘In the Zone’ is 2x platinum, ‘Circus’ is platinum and Spears’ most recent release, ’Femme Fatale’, is platinum.

   lol of course they’re all platinum her label always overships. Her first 2 albums are the only monster sellers here tho.. so um k.

   No wonder the industry is the how it is today, THAT many people listening to her albums has dumbed down their taste for real singing talent, but I congratulate her on her success, too bad she isn’t in control of all the money those albums generated. Smh

   Its not overshipments per se but in the 90s there were music clubs sales. That’s why Musicbox and Daydream are diamond but only at 7something with soundscan. Butterfly is 5x platinum but soundscan store sales are at 3.7

    YES Britney is a legend/icon and we love it. It’s always pissed me off that her label haven’t gotten “Blackout” certified though ~_~

    If she didnt go crazy she would be the Janet of today directly competing with Gaga, who is today’s Madonna. Maybe a miracle will happen and she will get her spark back.
