Nicki Minaj Shakes Her Rump On ‘The Today Show’

Nicki Minaj shakes her backside on 'The Today Show'.

Clearly, Nicki Minaj is a bit nervous about the expected sales dip that her ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ album will exhibit so she found a new way to promote the record. Indeed, during her performance on ‘The Today Show’ this morning, the well-endowed star shook her backside for the cameras.

‘Roman Reloaded’ will debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 next week with sales of 200-225K copies. Those figures represent a significant 150K sales decrease from the opening sum of the previous ‘Pink Friday’ album, which sold 375K when it cracked the chart in 2010.

   Aww someone should have told Nicki that Birdman only buys albums for Lil Wayne and the pop audience will listen to your songs on the radio but won’t buy your album. *shrug*

   She did better here than she did on American Idol but not by much. If she’s not going to give great music, then she could at least give great performances. She needs new people around her.

   Um let’s not forget her last album was released during the holiday season which, for the most part (sorry, Rihanna), gives an artist large first week sales. She’s progressing as a live performer, and I’m not even a big fan of hers.

    The hair was terrible. The boots were terrible. I thought a ‘live’ performance was just that – LIVE and no pre-recordings or backing tracks. This is so common now.

    I’m really not hating cuz I LOVE LOVE LOVE Nicki but this era just puzzles me.
