Nicki Minaj predicted that ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ would outsell its ‘Pink Friday’ predecessor but judging by the available sales projections, the record will have an uphill battle. Still, regardless of the relatively slow start, Minaj will once again return to the top of the Billboard 200.
‘Roman Reloaded’ is predicted to enter the Billboard 200 at #1 with sales of 200-225K copies. In contrast, the original ‘Pink Friday’ sold 375K copies during the Thanksgiving sales rush of 2010 and debuted at #2 before eventually climbing to #1 on the listing. To date, the latter album has sold over 1.7 million copies in the US.
Minaj has promoted ‘Roman Reloaded’ with appearances on the ‘DJ Clue Show’, ’106 & Park’ and most recently, ‘The Breakfast Club’. The albums latest single, ‘Starships’, is currently ranked at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100. Read my review of ‘Roman Reloaded’ here!
