Toni Braxton visited ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ earlier today where she shared some interesting details about her new album, ‘Heartstrings & Synagogue Vibes’. While speaking about her new single, ‘I Heart You’, the diva revealed that she has been inspired by Prince to promote her project independently.

Braxton released the video for ‘I Heart You’ last week without major label assistance. The move was influenced by advice that she received from Prince to utilise the power of digital media as a viable alternative to traditional marketing.

Yet, Braxton is also seeking independence in other facets of her life. Indeed, reiterating what she stated during the ‘Braxton Family Values’ Season 2 reunion special, she made it clear that her role on the show will be diminished so that she could focus on her own career.
