Adele is currently the most celebrated artist in recorded music but is she really interested in fame? Shockingly, despite her massive success, the British Soul singer made it clear on ‘The Today Show’ that public recognition was never on her agenda.
Speaking to NBC’s Matt Lauer during a candid interview about the impact of her ’21′ album, which has sold almost 9 million copies in the US, Adele stated that she simply wants to make music and craves anonymity. Also among the topics discussed were her Royal Albert Hall concert and her performance at the 2012 Grammy Awards.

can you blame her for feeling the way she does about fame other stars have said the same thing over the years
that’s how Lauryn Hill felt too. I remember when she came into the store I used to work at four years ago, she actually talked to us and when asked why she stepped away from music, she said she wanted to be known for her music but could care less about the fame.
That was a good interview.
I can’t blame her. As a fan that’s all I want his MUSIC, I don’t need to know every detail of her life. All I want is another solid album.
She’s awesome…
I understand how she feels, a lot of actual singers (not pop stars) who get big success feel the same. Look at Lauryn Hill, Sade and Kate Bush…
P.S Adele don’t get anymore thinner PLEASE.
