Alexandra Burke performs Frank Ocean's 'Think About You'.
When Alexandra Burke announced that her ‘Heartbreak on Hold’ album would comprise mainly Dance music, many of her fans became upset. Now, thanks to her acoustic cover of Frank Ocean’s ‘Thinking About You’ on Punchbowl TV, we can see why they wanted that elephant in the room to leave.
Burke will release her ‘Heartbreak on Hold’ album onJune 4th. The 12-song track list was revealed on May 2nd and it includes the songs ‘Let it Go’, ‘Elephant’ and ‘Fire’. Watch Burke perform Ocean’s ‘Thinking About You’ below:
Burke sang ‘Thinking About You’ circa Mariah Carey and sounded fantastic. So, why on Earth is she wasting her talent by performing trendy Dance music? She doesn’t need to do that and if she would simply embrace being different from the crowd then maybe she might actually land a hit on the charts.

I’m literally hitting my head againist this computer screen!!! SMH This girl is too talented to be singing crap dance songs. I really hope this album is a success so that she can start again in the usa with better writers and producers. Plus, where is the effort to break her into the US market?? One direction/The wanted and even crappy Cher Lloyd have deals. Why is her label in the US sleeping on her? Makes me mad

Her vocal growth since X Factor has been incredible. She has that beautiful warm contralto tone with the smooth and effortless vibrato, but she can also now completely thin out her voice as she did here and in the ballad version of Elephant. Complete waste of talent with this pointless material.
She did such a good job. Like why are all the great singers selling themselves short? Her talent is being wasted tremendously. I’m disapponted in how she is so eager to waste her talent.
This just makes me frustrated. Such an amazing voice wasted on dance music. Not a fan of any of her new stuff but Overcome is a really great pop album. Especially The Silence, she needs to do more songs like that. I don’t think I’ll ever stop moaning about this, but the current dance trend needs to end and soon!

I am a huge Leona Lewis fan and have never payed much attention to Alexandra but her recent acoustic covers have floored me, she has such an amazing warm voice. If the dance songs are good then the album will be great but I hope there is some ballads to level it out. Least she is treating us to these amazing covers and YES I will be buying “heartbreak on hold” , she deserves the success. She has grew on me massively !!!
