The 2012 Billboard Music Awards ceremony is merely two days away and performers are still being announced for the blockbuster show. The latest name added to the list is Alicia Keys, who will honor the legendary Stevie Wonder with the prestigious Billboard Icon Award.
Entertainment Weekly indicates that Keys will present Wonder with the Icon Award and then perform a duet with the her idol at the 2012 BMA. This won’t be the frist occasion that the pair would share a stage, though, because they also joined forces at the 2004 MTV VMA and presented together at the 2006 Grammy Awards.
The 2012 BMA will feature an extensive list of showings by Chris Brown, Usher, Kelly Clarkson, The Wanted, Nelly Furtado, Justin Bieber and Carrie Underwood. Additionally, John Legend and Jordin Sparks will sing a tribute to Whitney Houston, who will be honored with the Billboard Millenium Award.
