Ciara Shares Album & Lead Single Titles

Remember back in March when songwriter Ali Tamposi revealed that Ciara’s new album was called ‘One Woman Army’ but several people tried to deny it? Well, Ciara herself has finally confirmed that her LP does indeed have that title.
While speaking to MTV News to promote her upcoming comedy ‘That’s My Boy’, Ciara announced that her new album is entitled ‘One Woman Army’ and it will hit stores later this year. The record will be preceded by the lead single ‘Sweat’, which she hopes will “make you sweat in all kinds of ways”.
‘One Woman Army’ will be Ciara’s first release via Epic Records. The project is helmed by label head LA Reid himself, and will include contributions from Diane Warren (Beyonce’s ‘I Was Here’) and Soundz (Ciara’s ‘Gimme Dat’).

All we can do at this point is hope that Ciara has crafted the right mix of tracks as well as a massive promotional campaign to support ‘One Woman Army’. She is certainly fighting an uphill battle since her previous pair of albums - ‘Fantasy Ride’ and ‘Basic Instinct’ – were major commercial disasters.

@ugh I’m with you on that. I was a fan when she debuted but she lost me after the first album. I think she is a great dancer and has good energy when she performs. Hopefully she can get off this overtly sexual train. I’m so tired of her and these other artists selling sex because there vocal talent isn’t where it should.
I wish her well.
@liberiangirl, I don’t use Sierra AT ALL. But, save Ride, ONE song, when has she sold sex? She’s hardly overtly sexual.

@cranberry – after she released her debut album she slowly became more sexual. As you stated “Ride” is one video also “Love Sex and Magic,” Ciara is a great performer but instead of giving the good choreography she has followed behind the rest of these “mainstream” artists. Sex does sell but not for everyone. In the beginning, watching Ciara perform was watch a Janet in the making. No, I’m not comparing her to Janet. I’m just saying there is great talent there that seems to be watered down with the over emphasis with sex. She needs to leave the splits and stripper routines at home and go back to the Ciara that would make you want to get up and dance after seeing her. That’s what I am saying…

IM EXCITED! Ciara is very talented and I believe this will be her best work.
I wish people would let female artists coexist and stop making it seem like they cant have music out the same time as others. SUPPORT GOOD MUSIC AND TALENTED ARTISTS PEOPLE! Stop with the petty stan wars and give all music a try.
