Release in 1965, ‘The Sound of Music’ soundtrack logged an astounding 109 weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200. The album was also a monster hit in the UK and nabbed 70 weeks in the top 10 of the UK Albums Chart as well as ranked as the top-selling album of 1965, 1966 and 1968 in that territory.
‘The Sound of Music’ soundtrack included several memorable numbers from the film including ‘Climb Ev’ry Mountain’, which was sung by Peggy Wood. Watch the powerful scene from the movie below:
