Did you know that Tamar Braxton released her debut album, ‘Tamar’, in 2000 but it was a commercial failure?
‘Tamar’ was released on March 21st 2000 as Braxton’s debut effort. However, despite contributions from Jermaine Dupri and Missy Elliott, the record flopped and only peaked at #127 on the Billboard 200 without yielding a hit single on the Billboard Hot 100.
However, ‘Tamar’ did introduce buyers to Braxton’s vocal range and the fact that she has the ability to sing in the whistle register. Listen to ‘Money Can’t Buy You Love (Ft. Delite)’, which showcases Braxton’s vocal ability, below:

One of my fave abums still play it to this day!!!!!
That isn’t a bad song, I knew about her whistle note but it doesn’t have a certain type of power that is needed to make a difference in a song.
Also, she’s doing WAY too much in the song but I should’ve expected that…It is TAMAR after all, I guess I thought it might’ve been a little different since she was younger lol
She USE to be so pretty.
