Chris Brown has released yet another new song to support his upcoming ‘Fortune’ album. ‘Don’t Wak Me Up’, which was produced by David Guetta, follows ‘Turn Up the Music’ as the latest Pop single from the project, which will hit stores on July 3rd.
Layered with auto-tune, Brown belts the lyrics of the Dance/Pop track; a stark difference from his rapping on ‘Till I Die (Ft. Big Sean & Wiz Khalifa)’. Expect Brown to perform at the the 2012 Billboard Music Awards on May 20th. Whether ‘Don’t Wak Me Up’ will be on his setlist has yet to be confirmed.
Listen to ‘Don’t Wake Me Up’ below:
Why Brown always hides behind a shroud of auto-tune is truly beyond me. He has the ability to sing ‘Don’t Wake Me Up’ without such assistance but constantly takes the lazy route. There is nothing left to say except I hope he coud handle this song live without miming.
Thanks Music Justice!
… *Sigh* Chris why?
I want to support him but…. *Sigh* I just can’t!
He can ACTUALLY sing! Why is he using all this autotune!?
I love this and dont care about the auto-tune. For me it adds to the atmosphere.
omg that gif! omfg lmao NIGHTMARES
mannn the song aint playin and i want to hear it trent!
wish he didnt autotune his voice, but I LOVE THIS SONG!!
That gif >> Lol
Auto tune usually irks my nerves to no end, but I don’t mind the autotune on songs like this with that dance/techno feel. In my opinion it adds to the song like ‘Forever’ I actually think it compliments the record and adds something extra. I just hate it when he uses it in r&b records. I think he’s been getting lazy and he just gets comfortable using an doesn’t put in the effort to really sing.
However I was so crushed when I heard that this was going to be the final/album version because I like the original version MUCH better! I hate how he added the music in the beginning when he first starts singing, it’s drowns him out and I don’t like how he switched the entire beat up. I know he probably wanted to make it more dance friendly so it could appeal to mainstream but the orginal showcased his vocals more and to me was more of a classic. Now it sounds to similar to every other techno/pop song on the radio. *sighs*
I’ll still support him but I have really been disappointed with his single choices for this album.
