New Song: R. Kelly – ‘It’s On (Ft. Ace Hood & DJ Khaled)’

R. Kelly targeted his Adult Contemporary fans with ‘Share My Love’ but his new song, ‘It’s On’, is clearly for a younger crowd. The track features Ace Hood and DJ Khaled, and the trio have already filmed its corresponding video.

Later this year, R. Kelly will release his ‘Write Me Back’ album. There is no word regarding if ‘It’s On’ will appear on that record or his sexually charged ‘Black Panties’ LP, which will also hit stores in Late 2012.

‘It’s On’ would have been more acceptable of it was an Ace Hood song and R. Kelly was only singing the hook. This baseless record definitely does not suit an artist of the latter’s calibre and it is quite pointless. Frankly, nobody wants to listen to their 45-year old uncle singing to them in their club.
