No matter how hard the world screams “no”, will.i.am refuses to give up his dreams of becoming a solo success. The Black Eyed Peas frontman has released a new single entitled ‘This is Love’, which features singer Eva Simons, from his upcoming ‘#willpower’ solo album.

will.i.am’s previous single, ‘T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)’, which included appearances by Jennifer Lopez and Mick Jagger, peaked at #36 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #3 on the Official UK Singles Chart. Perhaps this lack of a major hit is why he has yet to announce the release date of ‘#willpower’.

‘This is Love’ is a good song but we have heard will.i.am on several records similar to it. Removing the synth-heavy dance break from the chorus would have have truly made it a new direction for him and made the song more appealing to those persons who are utterly tired of club jams. Still, I sense that is too much to ask of a man who can’t function without an auto-tuned mic.
