The surprises keep rolling in for Nelly Furtado’s fans. Instead of premiering on May 7th as originally scheduled, the singer’s ‘Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)’ video has debuted this evening courtesy of Canada’s MuchMusic channel.

Expect to see Furtado onstage at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards on May 20th to promote her upcoming ‘The Spirit Indestructible’ album. She revealed the covers of the record’s standard and deluxe editions earlier today.

The ‘Big Hoops’ video focuses on striking visual rather than a clear concept or storyline. However, that is why it works because the song itself barely tells a story. However, is this visual enough to launch Furtado’s comeback or is it too weak? Share your thoughts below!

   I don’t think this song is enough to launch her comeback to be honest. I was sort of disappointed by it. It was ‘meh’ to me. It doesn’t stand out much from the other stuff on the radio. You already have some people saying she’s trying to copy Rihanna…sigh

   Really like this song. I do think she needs a stronger crossover song tho because i think people will sleep on this.

   This is my first time hearing this song and i like it. It sounds current and i think people will like it. LOL @ Nelly being the original billie goat. Yes she is and those who say she’s copying Rihanna were probably born after , let’s say 1998…lol
