Rihanna Awkwardly Performs On ‘Saturday Night Live’

Rihanna performs on 'Saturday Night Live'.
Clearly, whatever was in the water that Rihanna drank while filming her ‘Where Have You Been’ video has been pissed out. Indeed, when the stiff Barbadian hit the stage on ‘Saturday Night Live’ last evening there was little trace of the the energetic dance skills she displayed in that visual.
Featuring her usual nasal vocals, Rihanna delivered rather uncomfortable renditions of ‘Birthday Cake’, ‘Talk That Talk’ and ‘Where Have You Been’. Of course, she did manage to draw cheers from the audience thanks to her team of dancers, elaborate stage sets and the “applause” sign.

What is there to say after watching these performances? We all know that Rihanna can’t sing or wine so we should be accustomed to it by now. I will say this, though: never trust the editing crew of a music video because they have the ability to make anybody look like a talented dancer.

i enjoyed birthday cake and where have you been. Her vocals couldn’t keep up with the choreo, she should of put more reverb on the mike and less echo. It was entertaining at least. I’m a fan of her band, they ain’t got nothing on the Suga Mama’s but they make her songs more interesting. Where have you been needs to be worked on a bit more, the cuts to the chorus were awkward.
I turned the first video off because of that god awful echo on the mic and the second for her shocking vocals.
I think it’s quite funny how rihanna usually changes her style for each album, yet with this one sea changed it 3 times now? And still no major interest in the album or singles… Maybe people have finally caught on to her gimmicks

Now, I am a Rih fan BUT I am tired of this. Many of us are. All she seems to care about is the ‘lifestyle’ and drinking, clubbing, strippers, ’420′, changing her hair, patting her Vagina, telling her fans to deal with her re-union with Chris, not being a role model but a ‘rockstar’ etc… the list is endless.
Although I used to think Trent was harsh on her, we have seen him praise her when she slays. The WHYB video wads incredible. he said it was amazing and even tweeted her this.
We need to stop making excuses for her. She has been in the game too long and has too many accolades to always be excused. Sick or not sick, she rarely delivers. I have seen her live several times – she makes US, the audience, sing the hard parts!
I am tired of this ‘I don’t give a pucks’ attitude. It is boring. Many of us are bored. I would never usual comment but this has actually annoyed me. She has a lot of money, power, fame and it’s because of the fans. She needs to deliver and keep arming it. I don’t doubt she works hard but how can dancing only be a priority NOW? it has taken years for us to see her dance well. She ever said that she has been to busy touring and basically having a presence everywhere but the actual stage.

She has a lot more work to do. She needs to take some time off so that she can get her performance skills together. Every time she takes a step forward, she takes eight steps backward.
