Trey Songz has been hard at work on his ‘Chapter 5′ album and as he slowly nears its completion, he has started sharing more details about the record. The singer sat down with SoulCulture TV to talk about the project and revealed his motives to break the monotony of the Dance/Pop trend.
The release date of ‘Chapter 5′ has yet to be set but Songz has unveiled the included list of collaborators – T.I, Big Sean, Kelly Rowland, J. Cole and Lil Wayne. Watch Songz’s SoulCulture TV interview below:
Let’s give Songz the benefit of the doubt that he will be doing nothing more the singing about his penis. Maybe he really does have a classic R&b album on the way. You know, one that might finally go platinum.
I actually like this artist. I became a fan when I heard “love faces.” I actually believe that he can really be a front runner amongst the male artists in this generation if he just focuses on developing his craft. I think he really has talent and if he can shift the focus away from sex and onto his vocal ability everything will fall into place for him. At the moment, I’m currently turned off by the overtly sexual tones thus far he has around his image. Hopefully Chapter V will be the turning point in his career for the good and that platinum status.
If he ain’t score a platinum with READY he mine as well go gay for pay because maybe he ain’t in the right market… I mean that album had no bad songs… What happened trey?
“Ready” is basically platinum but his label just didn’t certify it, so is “PPP”.
I have faith in Trey. I believe that he can put forth a decent effort with Chapter 5.
I also noticed a bit of a change in him in this video. He seems a little bit humbler, I hope that this change isn’t just momentary.
I just read that his released date is the 26th of this month. Hope its true cause I been waiting foreverrrrrrrrr.#Leggo!!!!
I’m suprised his album “Ready” didn’t go platinum but hopefully this one will
