The world is finally getting a better view of Janelle Monae’s talent. The tiny powerhouse hit the stage at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards last evening alongside fun. to perform their first Billboard Hot 100 #1 song, ‘We Are Young’.
For six consecutive weeks, ‘We Are Young’ dominated the Hot 100 and is currently ranked as the second long-running #1 song on the lineup in 2012 thus far. Gotye’s ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ is placed in first position among chart leaders with seven weeks and counting at the summit.

What was the point of Janelle being there? Her part in the song is smaller than a grain of rice. She flew out for that. Like really?
Who cares if her part was small? She sang and sang WELL. I enjoyed the performance IMO the best of the night.
