 Did you know that Metallica’s ‘Metallica’ album is the best-selling album of the SoundScan era?

‘Metallica’ has sold over 15.78 million copies in the US since being released on August 13th 1991. Ranked as the highest-selling release of the SoundScan era (1991-present), the record has been certified 15x platinum by the RIAA.

Ironically, none of the singles from ‘Metallica’ cracked the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. In fact, the highest-charting song was ‘Enter Sandan’, which peaked at #16. Watch Metallica perform that song below:
