Did you know that all three of Aaliyah’s studio albums have been certified double platinum in the US?

All three of Aaliyah’s studio albums – ‘Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number’, ‘One in a Million’ and ‘Aaliyah’ – have been certified double platinum by the RIAA. Interestingly, both of the late R&B singer’s first two albums peaked at #18 on the Billboard 200 and her final release hit #1 on the chart.

Aaliyah’s only #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 was ‘Try Again’, which topped the chart in 2000. Watch the video for the song below:

   Aaliyah’s music is classic. She’s an example of an artist who put thought into what she was doing and really worked well with her producers. Unlike some artists today who will remain nameless strutting into the studio after producers and songwriters have tirelessly wrote song after song, and then they unpassionately sing their part. Aaliyah blended with her music and really delivered her vocals. She is truly missed. A sweet person. RIP Babygirl.
