Did you know that Kelly Rowland has thus far scored only one top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo act?
Including her work as a lead artist as well as a featured act, Rowland has only logged one top ten hit on the Hot 100 - ‘Dilemma (with Nelly)’, which peaked at #1 on the chart in 2002. In fact, her only other songs that cracked the top twenty of the lineup were ‘Motivation’ and ‘Here We Go (with Trina)’, both of which stalled at #17.
‘Dilemma’ held the top slot on the Hot 100 for ten weeks and was ranked 11th most successful song of the 2000-2009 decade. Additionally, the tune was placed at #64 on the list of the best-performing hits on the Hot 100 during the 1958-2008 period.

Well Kelly was the first one out of DC to get a Grammy as a solo artist with that song. I thought she would be more successful than she is given she has a beautiful voice. Ah well…
I’m actually glad that Kelly cemented her status as a “somebody” in the game. If it wasn’t for this song she would have had possibly the worst solo career in Pop/RnB history. But due to a 10 WEEK stint at #1 and a Grammy Award BEFORE Beyonce no-one can justifiably call her a non-entity. She needs to get back to the soul of her voice, hopefully this new album will do that.
This song preceded her #1 platinum UK album, “Simply Deep”.
First Grammy and all. It doesn’t matter. Beyonce is the most successful of the 5 girls. I wish Matthew wasn’t selfish. Lesson learned to up and coming singers -never get into a group where manager is related to a group member. You will end up losing.
I still can’t believe she isn’t more successful. Michelle i can understand, she’s a weirdo.
Jay , I agree with you. If Mathtew had not been their manager
maybe Michelle, Letoya and Kelly might have been
a litttle more sucessful than they are now. Kelly is just
starting to get some shine, Michelle and Letoya
are still somewhat struggling.
