Azealia Banks took a break from her desperate bid for media attention today to release her new single, ‘Aquababe’. The tune will be included on the troubled star’s upcoming ‘Fantasea’ mixtape, which debuts on July 4th.
The lead offering from ‘Fantasea’ was incredibly catchy ‘Jumanji’. However, does ‘Aquababe’ match its predecessor? Listen to the song below to find out:
The key to Banks’ popularity is her delivery and she is so good that even her nonsensical songs sound amazing. ‘Aquababe’ typifies that because the barely understandable lyrics are quite silly. In other words, she is basically dazzling us with nonsense.
Never heard her music before but this is a hot record. Get it girl…get…it!!! All of it!!!
she sounds kinda like Missy, dope beat
she sounds just like missy. love it
you hit the nail on the head… nonsensical… also the fact that shes pretty much feeding us bullshit with a tight flow. This is why Im bored…
I like Azealia but i feel like this is utter bullshit. All her shenanigans are taking away from her music. Yes the lyrics arent meant to be profound but this is just sub par music. If this came out of Nicki minaj we would tear her up , but yet it’s acceptable for her? Azealia has yet to really impress me, if these EPs are any indication of her debut album, i REFUSE to buy “Broke with expensive taste”.
This a MIXTAPE yall idiots , what should a rapper rap about exactly? like she said yall opinions are just an option lol the lyrics showcase her versatility she got dozens of flows without changing her voice …whens the last time u heard a dog bark in a beat? or for that matter whales moaning while a rap chick goes in? o ok im entertained ms banks
Trent was screaming she was the next Lil Kim or Missy last month now she this and that . Trent you so backwards you was #TeamMinaj now you shade her every chance you get anything for some hits i guess
