The first single from Ciara’s ‘One Woman Army’ has been released and it is a banger! ‘Sweat’ featuring 2 Chainz is the lead offering from the entertainer’s upcoming comeback album, which will be issued later this year via Epic Records.
Ciara’s “vulnerable” ‘One Woman Army’ record will be used to empower women or at least that’s what she hopes. Does ‘Sweat’ meet that challenge? Listen to the song below:
Ciara is back and she is ready to win! ‘Sweat’ is a boss club track but it also has a major beat that would work perfect on radio, particularly on the Urban formats. Additionally, the 2 Chainz feature is quite clever and his flow matched the grinding beat perfectly.
Hopefully, however, ‘One Woman Army’ doesn’t only comprise club songs. Ciara needs a classic tune to distinguish her from her peers. Still, I’m about to make it lean to ‘Sweat’.

Thought this was a ‘personal album’…not sure what I just listened to. I don’t see major commercial success without some crazy dance moves, but those haven’t done much for her career anyway. Too niche market for a proper cross-over.

Predictable. The song sounds like every other ciara song with some new clothes (2Chains)and some new shoes (the beat). I think it will grow on me but the lead track should have been more powerful. Ciara needs the craziest visual to accompany this. A bomb video will set the summer charts on fire!
