Kelly Rowland has released a snippet of her new song, ‘Ice’! Serving as the lead single from her new studio album, the track was penned by Sean Garrett and features Rowland’s usual collaborator Lil Wayne, who also appeared on one of her biggest hits, ‘Motivation’.
While speaking to Vegas magazine, Rowland noted that her new album will empower women and help them to embrace their sexuality. Does ‘Ice’ reflect that statement? Listen to a snippet of the song below to find out:
….This song sounds like a faster tempo version on Motivation. You can actually sing motivation to this beat if you speed it up.
sounds like the broke ass sister of motivation…
I just want to see to see this woman succeed and get her MOMENT! She is very talented I don’t understand why she can’t just deliver the goods? This song is cute though
I don’t need to hear anymore, this song is not going nowhere….
Sounds like a track which got cut from her last album
I feel.. Bore-eeedyyyyyy. B-O-R-E-D-E-MMMM
I like
I like it!
Poor Kelly
She never seems to get it right
The motivation comparisons I don’t hear it…. I’m gonna give this the benefit of the doubt and wait for the whole song…. I was bored tho Kelly, try releasing a mixtape first with this as the lead, experiment with ur sound on said mixtape and listen to feedback…
Kelly, girlfriend, you need to work with some better people.
um this sounds so dam basic to me kelly can do better
She has a new album? What, is she producing this stuff for herself? She is just the little engine who cant! I dont get it with her anymore- who the hell does she need to —- I dont know have sex with for a good beat – because this shit here aint it.
Oh Kelly I loved you in DC but find a rich man to marry and sit down somewhere and watch Rhianna and Beyonce succeed
i love it so damn smooth i can definately see my self getting down to this in the club…kelly…….
I hate to have to say this but maybe she needs to ring Matthew Knowles
I like the snippet. I can’t wait for the full song. Didn’t you shade Motivation and it was number one…. smdh.
Kelly… Please s
Trent , you ask the question is this about enpowering women and the answer is Hell to No! Kelly needs to stick
to her original plan and stop letting this oversexed
men producers control her style of music. This song
is a light version of Motivation. I don’t know if i am going
buy her album this time,if is going to be Motivation 2.0
@Jewerely girl I agree. If this song is bad I will not be inspired to buy the album. I gave “Here I Am” a chance because I’ve always loved Kelly, but this weak production followed by overtly sexual lyrics is a turn off.
I don’t know how she’s going to empower women while contradicting herself working with “Panty-dropping-neighbour-waking-female-disrespecting” Trey Songz. Kelly is such a contradiction in her actions, in fact such can be said for all the DC girls. Christians one day, illicit sex-promoters the next.
True point: Kelly’s production has never aced “Simply Deep”. Now that was a musically tight album. Not to mention vocally, harmonically and lyrically too.
This shit is boring….is Sean Garret is writing this crap…then I damn sure can write a hit for Kelly ma damn self. SMT
Kelly had a hit with Motivation and has gotten carried away. Everything she has done since then has been about sex. Let it go already! It’s clear that she is scared to break away from that and feel she isn’t going to get a hit w/o a sexual song.
Snooze. Filler. Come harder Kelly.
