Dod you remember Rachel Crow from ‘The X Factor (US)’? You know, the teenaged singer with the big voice who had an emotional meltdown onstage after being eliminated from the show? Well, she is back in the spotlight with a snippet her debut single, ‘Mean Girls’, and ready to take the music scene by storm.
‘Mean Girls’ is the lead offering from Crow’s upcoming self-titled EP, which will be released on June 26th. Since her departure from ‘X Factor (US)’, Crow has scored deals with Disney as well as Columbia Records for the launch of her entertainment career. Meanwhile, Nicole Scherzinger, who was instrumental in Crow’s elimination from the series, has yet to release her own solo debut album in the US.
Listen to the snippet of Crow’s ‘Mean Girls’ below:
I like it makes me think of Priscilla renea, does her voice sounds like this live? Never watched x Factor
@pisces2g she does sound good live
I like it! It sounds like a positive song for the kids.
this sounds like a great teen song. She’s so cute.
She sounds good.
it seems like every xfactor us contestant is releasing new music before the actual winner melanie amaro… haven’t heard one thing from her since she won smh
Something now unheard of from Xfactor… everyone else is pushing themselves out while the winner is chilling. I’m sure Melanie will be releasing new work during the fall (to capitalize promotion on the next season of XFactor)
I’ll have to hear the whole song. One thing that bothers me about child artists is singing about things that seem to grown for them. Sounds like something young girls to relate to from what I hear but IDK
Sounds like something Jessie J would’ve had on her “Who You Are” album. I really love the snippet, it’s really catchy! A decent song for little teenaged girls to help them through bullying, but it can be enjoyed by all. Overall cute song.
I love it and I love the fact that the sound is age appropriate. Not like 17 years singing about relationships and love, when they should be thinking about school and college, just saying. I loved this little girl on the show and as long as she stays grounded and focused…I believe she’ll be fine. Melanie Amaro…hmmm IDK but personally she was boring and her diva voice is too similar to the Mariah, Celine Dion, etc for her to remain relevant, since they are still recording. I didn’t like the commercial and they are taking to long to let us hear her new sound. I heard we are going to see a new Melaine, which I don’t get, since her staple statement was to be herself…industry is crazy…I think Simon is taking a big loss with Melanie as well as the XFactor, production is over the top and it seems to be about the celebrity end of the show more than the talent of the contestants. I am not even sure if I’ll watch this year, knowing now the way the show operates. Not saying that Rachel was the overall best singer, Melaine can blow, just that Rachel is more entertaining, likable and most likely will be the most successful of last year’s crew. Chris Renee came out with the same song we already knew which couldn’t be good for sales…I need to work for them…
