New Song: Teairra Mari – ‘I Do Like’

R&b singer Teairra Mari.

After announcing the release date for her new mixtape, ‘Unfinished Business’, Teairra Mari has released a new song taken from the record entitled ’I Do Like’. The full set of tunes will be released on July 4th.

Mari released the lead single from the project, ‘Lil Mama’, earlier this month. If you’re fed up of hearing mixtapes from the songstress, you will have to sit tight, as she is still working on her sophomore album, ‘Sex On The Radio’. In the meantime, listen to Mari’s ‘I Do Like’ below:

Considering Mari’s talent, it is very frustrating to hear her make careless music like ‘I Do Like’. I would like to encourage Mari to take a step back from records like this and release something with more depth. Quite simply, I do not like ‘I Do Like’.

   Has she been working with the same producer on every song because all of her latest releases sound like one long song cut up into smaller pieces?

   She can do better. She cannot afford to be releasing meaningless music, she has a point to prove. Right now, all points are against her.

   She’s ratchet! She needs a new team with a little bit of sophistication. How can she move forward in her career when her bff’s are baby mommas to rappers and strippers? She is way too talented to be doing sh*t like this. She needs commercial success, I’ve always said that she’s too urban. Like I would love for her mix her urban sound with a little bit of pop. Kinda like what Usher did with Climax song. She needs a broader market, her current target market prefer to rat music but will not pay for music. They want songs to pop lock and drop it to and nothing more.

   She needs a new team!! If rappers can gain so much commercial success at home and abroad, I don’t see why Teairra shouldn’t aim for something better. She is like a younger and more fun version of Monica….BORING with NO GROWTH!
