New Video: Kelly Rowland – ‘Summer Dreaming’

Kelly Rowland has been busy recording her next studio album but she has given her fans a special treat to calm their nervers. The R&B singer has released a new video for ‘Summer Dreaming’, which is a official soundtrack of the Bacardi 150th anniversary campaign.

However, don’t expect Rowland’s new album to feature Dance music similar to ‘Summer Dreaming’. Rather, as she hinted in Vegas magazine, the record will empower women through the sounds of R&B. While we wait to hear what Rowland’s has crafted during the last few months, you can watch the ‘Summer Dreaming’ video below:

   As a big Destiny Childs’ fan, I always scratched my head as to why this woman has not reached her peak? Michelle and Beyonce both went on to achieve huge solo success in Gospel and R&B/Pop but Kelly? I am a Kelly fan and cannot figure it out but I think she needs to leave this dance music to other artists cause it ain’t working for her. Kelly girl I am rooting for you because you deserve every bit of success and I hope your next album gives you that recognition.

   I actually think it’s a good tune. Its only a commercial, not her single from the new album. I love it.

   the thing about Kelly is that she is STILL trying to figure out what her lane is. She is good at R&B and she is decent at the dance/pop thing but she isn’t sure about herself. She relies on too many people to push her in a direction. What she needs is a team of people who will keep it real instead of “yes” men and to focus on either R&B or Dance. Also, get confident with your vocal performances. We all know the girl can sing but she tends to rely on lip synching a lot now or shaky performances. If I was her I would go back to the Destiny’s Child training (cuz even if you weren’t a fan of theirs, you have to admit, they kill it live) and come back HARD

   Kelly need s to take notes from Usher. She needs to mixture
   of songs a litle old school some dance , R&B with couple
   of ballads, and few empowerment songs.
   This song should be a bous song. It reninds me of
   Whatever in a day and I like that too.
