Teairra Mari is the personification of the little engine that could. The singer proved that point with her ‘Teairra Mari: Then & Now’ special in which she explained her musical journey that included her tale of singing to Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records and eventually being unceremoniously dropped.
However, Mari has experienced several victories since her troubled past. Indeed, she has since established a working relationship with Rico Love and joined his Division 1 imprint. Those wins don’t include the video for her new single, ‘U Did That (Ft. 2 Chainz)’, though.

Good interview
i love her!
I really like this girl. However, I think she needs a better image and should explore a more commercial sound. It’s O.K to stay true to yourself but aim to move forward. She’s too RnB and that’s limiting her because that market doesn’t buy albums/singles, they download for free! A more commercial sound doesn’t mean Starships, etc. Amerie’s One Thing is a great sound, Some of Usher’s new songs are really good too.
