“Top Divas” To Honor Whitney Houston At 2012 BET Awards

It look as though we won’t have to wait until the Vh1 Divas show in December to see an all-star tribute to Whitney Houston! Indeed, the Cissy Houston and several of music’s “top divas” have been enlisted by the producers of the 2012 BET Awards to give the late icon a tremendous sendoff.
The Associated Press reports that Cissy and the other special guests will hit the stage live at the 2012 BET Awards on July 1st to honor Whitney. However, their names have yet to be revealed to news sources at this time.
Earlier today, it was announced that Kanye West and Pusha T have joined the lineup of stars who will perform at the 2012 BET Awards. Other known acts who will appear at the show include Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, 2 Chainz, Usher and Big Sean.
One popular diva and close friend of the Houston family who has performed tributes at the past BET Awards ceremonies is Patti LaBelle. Watch her perform ‘I Have Nothing’ in honor of Whitney and Cissy during the 1990s below:

What I wouldn’t do to see Mariah Carey and Beyonce…hell even LeToya Luckett..to perform..but I think Kelly would do well..if she can perform Mariah then she can do Whitney as well…but I really hope that BET has an actual all-star line-up! Not those who have been forgotten, but I guess what really matters is that Whitney gets the tribute she deserves notwithstanding who it is performed by

I would love for them to open the tribute with a montage of Whitney singing When You Believe, and then have Mariah walk out. That would be epic! The princess honoring the Queen
I agree with @MacDown, I hope Monica performs as well because her and Whitney were great friends and have performed together in the past. Stevie Wonder would be good as well.
Monica and Brandy will be there for sure. I hope she can get a bigger name like Beyonce. I don’t see Mariah performing, but she should present the perdormance, like Madonna did when MJ died.
