Christina Aguilera To Release New Single In August

Move over Adele because there is another full-figured diva ready to launch an assault on the charts. Billboard has announced that Christina Aguilera will release her highly anticipated comeback single before the end of the summer!
Produced by Max Martin, who also crafted several of Katy Perry’s #1 singles (‘Part of Me’, ‘Teenage Dream’), Aguilera’s new club-banger single will debut in August. Subsequently, her new album, which will include duets with Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green, will arrive in the fall.
Aguilera’s previous album, ‘Bionic’, has sold a lowly 308K copies since June 2010 whereas her ‘Burlesque’ movie soundtrack yielded 593K units in sales since its November 2010. Neither set produced a top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

Although it would have been better to hear Aguilera flex her vocals on midtempo ballad that similar to Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’ or a spicy tune similar to ‘Rumour Has It’, a radio-friendly club song might be exactly what she needs to reposition herself higher on the charts. However, the arrangement needs to be ideal.
‘Not Myself Tonight’ lacked a discernable hook and it was difficult for simple-minded music fans to follow. Great productions and vocals can only go so far in today’s Pop market so Aguilera needs to carefully plan for every possible setback. Simply, her music, promotion and image need to be on point. Please, no more sex shows in her music videos, especially at her current size.

Ok Trent I don’t know why you’re using a 2 yr old picture of Christina when in fact she has slimmed down quite a bit over the past few months. second, that Adele comment was jusr ridiculous because Christina is smaller than adele. XXXLTina has only had 5 top ten hit, with 2 being #1s (and you can thank the Moulin Rouge collabo for 1 of those) So let’s see, who’s not being checked for on Billboard again? At least Memoirs is gold. Bionic is still sitting somewhere over 300k. XXXLTina hosts a talent show for goodness sake. Her career is over. She’s been a joke for sometime now from her jail visit, to that national anthem, to her weight, to her bloody legs. She’ll be out of that job soon because Britney and X-Factor are about to put The Voice off air. But that’s no surprise seeing that she has ALWAYS been in Britney’s shadow. For somebody who claims that nobody is checking for christina, you sure do know a lot about Christinas success. I love mariah but her last big hit was touch my body, over 4 yrs ago, Christinas was last year. Last time i checked, the hype and anticipation for christinas comeback is bigger than mariahs. @Christinastherealtalent Christina’s last hit was “Lady Marmalade” which was almost a decade ago. I’m not here for “Moves Like Jagger.” She only sang for about 20 seconds. That is NOT her song. But hey “Lady Marmalade” was not her song either. Is the only way she can get a #1 by having to use other artist because the people are bored with her? Mariah doesn’t need help from another artist to get a #1. Mimi had four #1s in the last decade. Christina, only one and it was a 4 artist collabo. Mariah’s last top 10 was Obsessed in 2009. “Moves like Jagger” is Maroon 5 AND Xtina’s song (check the BB rules) and she’s had pleanty of hits since Lady Marmalade (which she had the best part of) all over the world, a song doesn’t have to be No1 to be a hit and she’s had more No1′s since then in other countries.
