    Leona Lewis Eyes October For ‘Glassheart’ Release Date

    Leona Lewis poses for a ‘Glassheart’ promo pic.

    Okay, let’s try this one more time in the name of real talent. After months of waiting, Leona Lewis took to Ustream where finally treated her fans some news regarding her ‘Glassheart’ album and confirmed its release date for mid-October.

    Lewis has scheduled the debut of her long delayed ‘Glassheart’ album for October 15th. The record will be preceded by the Trip-Hop-inspired ‘Trouble’ single, which was crafted by her vocal mirror, Emeli Sande, and producer Naughty Boy. That song will be issued to UK digital retailers on October 7th and its accompanying video will be issued during the coming weeks.

    Although Lewis has not decided if the original version of her failed lead ‘Glassheart’ single, ‘Collide’, will make the final cut of the album, a special mix of the song will appear on the 14-track deluxe edition of the LP. Other songs confirmed to be on ‘Glassheart’ include ‘I2U’, ‘Come Alive’, ‘Fireflies’, ‘Shake It Up’ and ‘LoveBirds’.

    ————————————————————————–

    Hopefully, Lewis will stick to this release date for ‘Glassheart’ instead of postponing the record into the next millenium. Despite the extensive list of setbacks concerning this project, there is still hype for her new music, particularly because her fellow ‘The X Factor (UK)’ alum, Alexandra Burke, failed so horribly with her ‘Career on Pause’ ‘Heartbreak on Hold’ album.

    If you want an idea of how Sande and Naughty Boy’s work sounds then watch the video for ‘Daddy’ from the former’s ‘Our Version of Events’ below:

      I’m excited for her. I really want her to succeed this time. She just needs to bring her personality to the fore because she’s a tad boring.
      And I wouldn’t go as far to say that “Collide” failed or flopped. It did pretty well in the UK. I think they were expecting it to go straight #1 because of her vocals and the dance beat which is popular right now. She did good in my book, even if the song isn’t one of my faves.
      I’m crossing my fingers for her.

      She actually has such a great personality. I saw her guest judge X Factor at the London auditions and she was so cute, funny and sweet. Her new song Trouble has had such praise so all I will say is bring it Leona, I’m ready and I will 100% be buying your new album

      Apparently Trouble is incredible and it’s her best song to date. I know it has a London sound but if it’s as good and edgy as her team has been saying, I really hope they push it in the US. It would take a few months to take off (most songs do, especially from people who’ve been away for awhile, etc) but it could be worth it. I actually hope they don’t release the album in the US until Trouble takes off (granted it does). She basically has to do radio tours, etc in the US to get her song to take off and they really should consider a staggered release so she can devote time to promotion.

      The fact, after all the recording sessions and delays, Trouble is still being considered for the lead single must say alot about it.

      @Carlos Dominguez

      Naughty Boy DID produce Trouble. Fraser might have went in and polished it, not sure but Naughty Boy definitely produced it.
