Frank Ocean’s ‘Channel Orange’ album cover.

At the exact moment that Frank Ocean performed on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ during the early hours this morning, he released his ‘channel ORANGE’ debut album. However, he didn’t just issue the record to iTunes; he also made the entire record available for streaming online!

The 17-track ‘channel ORANGE’ includes appearances by John Mayer (‘White’), Earl Sweatshirt (‘Super Rich Kids’) and the elusive Andre 3000 (‘Pink Matter’). Of course, let’s not forget all the homoerotic, ambiguous lyrics and innuendos about Ocean’s sexuality.

So, does ‘channel ORANGE’ match the hype? Check out its track list and listen to the entire record below:

    1. Start
    2. Thinkin’ Bout You
    3. Fertilizer
    4. Sierra Leone
    5. Sweet Life
    6. Not Just Money
    7. Super Rich Kids (Ft. Earl Sweatshirt)
    8. Pilot Jones
    9. Crack Rock
    10. Pyramids
    11. Lost
    12. White (Ft. John Mayer)
    13. Monks
    14. Bad Religion
    15. Pink Matter (Ft. Andre 3000)
    16. Forrest Gump
    17. End

    Thanks Hip Hop N More!

I give it a 7/10. I’m not here for all the interludes. Bad Religion, Super Rich Kids, Forrest Gump, Pilot Jones, & PinK Matter are the best on the album. The weakest is definitely “Lost” but it’s still a good record.

9/10 for me….i love that this album is not about drinking, b*&^%*$ and hoes…and it require a lil (jus a lil) thought process to gather whats being sung about.. and he can sing bout as good as any mainstream r&b artist out right now .
