Mariah Carey announces her new single, ‘Triumphant (Ft. Rick Ross & Meek Mill)’.
Prepare to be taken for a ride through the hood with motivational lyrics about life, courtesy of everybody’s favourite ride or die diva, Mariah Carey. The crossover songbird has announced her new single, ‘Triumphant (Get ‘Em)’, which features Rick Ross and Meek Mill as the lead release from her upcoming comeback album.
Yes, you read that correctly; Carey is taking it back to the streets with ‘Triumphant’, a song she describes she wrote during a difficult time of her life. The song was produced by Jermaine Dupri and is expected to debut within the coming days as part of Carey’s summer 2012 takeover.
However, don’t worry about Carey’s new album being overridden with only Hip-Hop music. Indeed, with production credits from Randy Jackson and Big Jim Wright, both of whom collaborated with her on her ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’ LP, the record is expected to be a true return to her flexible musical roots.
Are you ready for Carey’s ‘Triumphant’? Can you imagine the video where Carey belts sweet Gospel lyrics on the roof of a Chevy while Ross smokes a bunt in the back seat? You better brace yourself for ‘Hero’ circa the projects!

people forget that some of her biggest hits came from collabs with rappers. OBD, The LOX, Jay-Z, Missy, Da Brat. This really isn’t out of the ordinary in my opinion
