Did you know that music from six animated movies won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in the 1990s?
During the 1990-1999 decade, six tunes from animated films were honored with the Oscar for Best Original Song. These award-winning songs include ‘Beauty & the Beast’ (‘Beauty & the Beast’), ‘A Whole New World’ (‘Aladdin’), Can You Feel the Love Tonight’ (‘The Lion King’), ‘Colors of the Wind’ (‘Pocahontas’), ‘When You Believe’ (‘Prince of Egypt’) and ‘You’ll Be in My Heart’ (‘Tarzan’).
Perhaps the most popular of those Oscar-winning songs was ‘A Whole New World’, which was performed by Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle, as it peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Watch the video for the tune below:
That’s interesting! Great Music Minute! Thank’s for sharing Trent! I Love You! I wanna bump skins….maybe one day.lol
This is one of my favorite music minutes. But you made an error. When you believe is from the Prince Of Egypt. I know you know that, but you messed up with the parenthesis and forgot to include that.
You forgot Journey from the past – Anastasia, one of my favorite movies growing up
