Alicia Keys

Did you know that the name Alicia Keys is just an stage alias for the singer-songwriter?

Keys’ was born on January 25th 1981 as Alicia Cook. However, heeding the advice of her manager shortly after signing her record deal Clive Davis, she adopted the stagename of Alicia Keys as it cleverly reflected her playing of the piano.

In 2001, the ‘Songs in A Minor’ album introduced Cook to the world as Keys. The LP included the Billboard Hot #1 hit single, ‘Fallin”. Watch the video for the song below:
