    The Beatles Hey Jude TheLavaLizard

The single cover of The Beatles’ ‘Hey Jude’.

Did you know that The Beatles’ ‘Hey Jude’ was the first song to debut in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100?

‘Hey Jude’ debuted in the top 10 of the Hot 100 in 1968 and earned The Beatles the distinction of being the first act to achieve that feat. In fact, the group also notched the second and third songs to open in the top 10 of the tally - ‘Get Back’ (1969) and ‘Let it Be’ (1970). No other tunes debuted the top 10 of the Hot 100 until 1995.

As previously noted, The Beatles logged a total of 30 top 10 hits on the Hot 100 during the 1960-1969 decade – the most top 10 hits logged on the ranking during a single decade. Watch The Beatles perform ‘Hey Jude’ below:

No other tunes debuted in the top 10 of the Hot 100 until 1995. Right because in 1995Michael Jackson’s song You Are Not Alone was the first song to debut at #1
