Elle Varner only just unveiled the album cover of her highly anticipated debut, ‘Perfectly Imperfect’, and she kept the momentum going today with the release of a new song. ‘I Don’t Care’ is the official second single from Varner’s LP, which will hit stores on August 7th.

‘I Don’t Care’ follows the lead ‘Perfectly Imperfect’ single, ‘I Only Wanna Give it to You’, which features J. Cole. So, does the song match its predecessor? Listen ‘I Don’t Care’ below:

Varner did a great job with ‘I Don’t Care’. The vocal arrangement was excellently orchestrated to match the production and Varner’s swopping to husky lower register was a clever way to contrast her higher range. If this is what she has in store for the rest of ‘Perfectly Imperfect’ then it will definitely be worth a listen!
