The single cover of Marcus Canty’s new song, ‘In & Out (Ft. Wale)’.
LA Reid’s favourite contestant from the first season of ‘The X Factor (US)’ is ready to make his debut. Teaming with Wale and H-Money, the mini-Bobby Brown has issued a new song, ‘In & Out’, which serves as a single from his upcoming album.
‘In & Out’ samples Jamaican DJ Shabba Ranks’ ‘Ting-A-Ling’ and mixes the sounds of Dancehall with bass-heavy Hip-Hop and R&B. How does the final product sound? Listen to the song below:
Now you wait a minute, Canty! ‘In & Out’ is a boss tune! We all know that Reid would have targeted Canty to the Urban audience but it is honestly surprising to hear him experiment with so many styles straight out the gate instead of taking the basic R&B artist approach i.e. what Trey Songz has been doing with his last three albums. Honestly, ‘In & Out’ could be a major hit!
Listen to Ranks’ ‘Ting-A-Ling’ below if you’re unfamiliar with the sample:
omg did trey write this tune? shit this sound like some ready 2.0 shit HIT HIT HIT, *follows janets lead* i woulda liked a j cole or even rick ross on this…but i guess their feature prices are higher, still a banger
Yes Marcus!!!!! I love it!
On a side yet related note: what the hell is Melanie Amaro doing? I’ve heard two songs from Marcus, one from Chris Rene but nothing from her, not even a buzz single. What’s going on?

I woke up this morning thoroughly impressed. From his Think Like A Man soundtrack feature to this. He’s coming into his own & finding his niche. Good stuff, Canty.
I told all the nay-sayers that Marcus Canty was a star!
i’m pleasantly surprised.
Wellllllllll alright for this tune! All fuckin RIGHT! LOL. I have so many emotions about this that I’ll just go ahead and point to this Janet .gif you used.
