New Video: Nelly Furtado – ‘Spirit Indestructible’

Nelly Furtado turns to dust in her ‘Spirit Indestructible’ video.

Nelly Furtado walks to the beat of her own drum and she took that instrument into the forest as she summoned magical forces in her new video, ‘Spirit Indestructible’. Directed by Aaron A, the visual is the latest offering from Furtado’s upcoming ‘The Spirit Indestructible’ album.

Now, Furtado did tell us in behind the scenes footage of the video that she would be returning to the wild for ‘Spirit Indestructible’. However, she didn’t warn us that high fashion and fancy graphics would be involved. Yet, this is 2012 so even nature has to get with the times.

Admittedly, similar to the song, this ‘Spirit Indestructible’ video makes much more sense than Furtado’s previous release, ‘Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)’. Hopefully, the ancient spirits will rain 99 cents into all out pockets so that will feel a bit more motivated to buy this song on iTunes.

   I can’t see this era being saved. The song takes to long to start, I would have changed the radio station before the beat dropped!

   I have a love/hate thing for Nelly Furtado. I love the beats on some of her jams, but her voice is annoying as all get out. Is it wrong to think there is too much of her singing in this one?

   It’s a nice video. I swear I heard her saying aeiou at a couple parts in the song. Why? Is she trying to teach the vowels to the kids?

   I think that Nelly is too dependent on the internet for her promo. She needs to make appearances on TV, somewhere.
