Hot Pics: Mariah Carey Goes For Gold In ‘Triumphant’ Video Preview

Mariah Carey loves to get dolled up for almost every occasion but she went the extra mile while filming her new video for ‘Triumphant (Get’ Em)’. Dusted from head to toe in 24k gold, the diva ventured to a boxing match to support her collaborator in the song, Meek Mill.

Also featuring Rick Ross, the ‘Triumphant’ video was directed by Carey’s husband, Nick Cannon. The full visual is expected to debut within the coming weeks, despite that fact that Carey’s new album won’t hit stores until March 2013.

   Why put out a video when the cd isn’t coming out for another 8 months? It’s not even a good buzz single.
   She’s gonna have to put out multiple singles before the album comes out so ppl stay interested.

   I don’t quite get the marketing scheme for this project also. Why would you not wait until closer to idol to release this? Why release a buzz single? Why risk this single doing great and the main single tanking? Why release the release date so far ahead?

   I don’t mind her releasing a video to support her song but why Nick Cannon though? She MUST stop working w/ her husband, he isn’t a music director… STOP!!!! Yeah the song is about him , but that doesn’t mean he has to be the director of the damn video.

   I think Mariah should’ve waited until Nov or Dec to release a single, then announce her new album coming in March just before Idol premiered in January(?)

   This isa song simply for her fans. She’ll release another single closer to her album. So theres no issue here. Nick does need to stop trying to direct her videos. He isn’t a director. He needs to stay out of her professional business. Giving ideas is one thing, but to keep trying to direct her videos is something completely different.
