LA Reid Eyes November For New Ciara Album Release Date

Ciara is currently in a race with Brandy for the most mishandled project of 2012 but LA Reid is set to put a stop to that nonsense. In fact, the music mogul has put the Twitter fashionista to work and during an interview with ‘Watch What Happens Live’, he announced that a release date for Ciara’s new album has been plotted.
Just in time for Thanksgiving, Ciara’s new album has been tentatively set for a November debut. She has collaborated with several major songwriter and producers for the LP, including Diane Warren and most recently, Jermain Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox and Johnta Austin. Reid also confirmed on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ that Ciara will release a new single and film two videos by the end of August. Additionally, she is currently shooting the packaging for her new records. Listen to what Reid had to say about Ciara’s upcoming efforts below:
Hopefully, Reid and Ciara stick to this timeline because she can’t afford to waste any time. Undoubtedly, Ciara’s brand is quite shaky and she needs the Thanksgiving sales rush to boost her sales. If she decides to waste more time then she better pray that Instagram grants her an endorsement deal because that’s the only way we will see her face other than during an episode of TV One’s ‘Unsung’.

I know it’s too early to tell, but in my gut, I don’t see it happening for CiCi this time around either. I think her time has come and gone, and the only people who will buy her album when/if it’s released are her die-hard fans.
That’s what im talking bout shoot your videos now so we wont have to wait til jesus come back to see them…..thanksgiving is perfect time for sales and tv promo the music just needs to great and she is set I love ciara..!
I wanted Ciara to be successful with this new team–then Sweat was released, not promoted, and disappeared. I think she will flop again.
I don’t think she will flop I think she will pull Decent sales As a Die hard fan I’m not expected a Plat album that would be great but 600k would be cool and 2mil ww or so I’m just looking for progress! There are many more albums to be successful

I think a lot of people were rooting for Ciara this round after seeing her fail for two albums back to back. Then “Sweat” was released and people lost interest. Smh. It’s going to be even harder to bounce back now.
Ciara, Ashanti, and Brandy are in a race for first place for the most mishandled comebacks of 2012. They don’t appear serious about their music given they have no concrete dates for anything and they keep having pushbacks. They need to follow the Keyshia Cole method. Her song has debuted on the Hot 100 and her promo is solid.
sigh…….It’s hard to believe Ciara was on top at one time. Now she is down there with Ashanti and Brandy. I liked Ashanti and Brandy when they were hot the same with Ciara. Nothing these 3 have put out has excited me. Ciara will get some attention with her videos. It seems that is all most people want from her not her singing voice. Just have to sit back and wait to see how it works out for her.

Well, From my understanding They are just getting started with getting everything going. So cant say its “mishandled” when theyre just now about to start her promo and release her music. Besides that Im excited! LA Reid is a BOSS for real. Cant wait to see what Ciara brings this era.

I did not like Sweat and neither did most R&B fans…. she has a solid pop hit with Overdose but she needs a new single for R&B fans/radio cuz Sweat is not the one…. hopefully the new release will be a hot R&B single.
I know her videos and live performances will be dope….
She needs to approach this promo campaign like a new artisit….
Im talking US & European/UK radio tour, radio sponsered tours/events, blog/magazine interviews and LOTS of festivals and intimate shows for her loyal fans to get excited about the project….
B/C she is such a magical performer they really need to strongly promote her videos and book her for lots of TV appearances.
facebook and twitter is not enough… she needs to connect with fans at live shows in order to sell songs/CD.
