Alison Krauss

Did you know that Alison Krauss has won more Grammy Awards than any other female artist?

The Country/Bluegrass performer has won a breathtaking 27 Grammys throughout her career; 9 more than her nearest female rival, Aretha Franklin, who has 18 trophies. In fact, Krauss is currently tied with Quincy Jones as the living artists with the most wins and is only 4 titles behind Georg Solti’s 31.

Shockingly, Krauss has never scored a top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. However, it is highly unlikely that she is bothered given her Grammy collection, among which are a pair of trophies for Album of the Year.

   This is great. It’s Bela Fleck, however, who interests me as she’s been nominated in more categories than anyone else.

   See, you don’t have to have screaming, crazy stans to acknowledge your achievements. This lady has the entire industry’s respect for a non-Pop genre.

   I love this woman! She does a little bit of everything. She’s never gotten much love from radio, but her voice is so clear and pretty. Pleasant surprise seeing her on this site.

   Whoever thought Beyonce had most thought wrong! Surprise! Music has other scions who have been honored and/or recognized for their talent just as Kang Bey has!!! Expand your world!
