Did you know that Whitney Houston made her acting debut in 1984?

Houston first entered the acting arena with a minor role in the NBC sitcom ‘Gimme a Break!’. The late diva played the role of Rita in the twentieth episode of the show’s third season entitled ‘Katie’s College’, which aired on March 15th 1984.

Later in her career, Houston established herself in the field of cinema in her breakthrough movie, ‘The Bodyguard’, for which she performed her biggest hit, ‘I Will Always Love You’. Watch clip of Houston’s appearance on ‘Gimme a Break!’ below:
