Did you know that John Lennon was murdered by a man who posed as a fan in 1980?
On December 8th 1980, Lennon was shot in his back four times by Mark David Chapman while approaching the entrance of his New York City apartment building with his wife, Yoko Ono. Disturbingly, the former The Beatles member had signed an autograph for his killer earlier that day. Chapman was charged with second degree murder and sentenced to a minimum of twenty years in prison with a maximum of a life term behind bars.
Lennon is remembered for a string of hits, both with The Beatles and as a solo act. He penned a stunning twenty-six Billboard Hot 100 singles but ‘Imagine’ is widely regarded as his signature song. Watch the video for that tune, which co-stars Ono, below:

Soooo is this guy out of prison now? It’s been 20 years… or is he still locked up?
The disturbing thing is that celebrities encourage being worshiped by fans and then can’t handle their craziness. John Lennon from what I know was quite a humble man who lead quite a peaceful life. The “We’re bigger than Jesus” statement was careless but I’m not sure which Beatle said that.
This is why I am concerned for celebs like Beyonce because people’s possessive craziness can lead them to doing all sorts of things believing it’s for the best. Truth: Bees turn on the Queen when they are done with her! Let that not be the case with Miss Hive!
