It’s been a while since we’ve heard new music from Faith Evans but the soulful songstress has released a new song entitled ‘Tears Of Joy’. The record is set to appear on a compilation album called ‘R&B Divas’, which has been slated to be released on October 2nd via eOne Music.

Despite Evans being absent from the spotlight, she hasn’t been idle. The songstress appears in new reality show, ‘R&B Divas’, alongside Syleena Johnson, Monifah Carter, Nicci Gilbert and KeKe Wyatt. The series showcases the singers making the compilation album on TVOne.

Evans’ ‘Tears Of Joy’ was written and produced by Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony. Listen to the song below:

It has been a while since we’ve heard a smooth track like ‘Tears Of Joy’. Considering the state of R&B at the present moment, it’s very refreshing to hear Evans sticking to what she knows best. This record may not crossover to the mainstream charts but it should satisfy the die-hard fans of R&B music!
