In case you’ve forgotten, Nelly Furtado is gearing up to release her new album, ‘The Spirit Indestructible’ in less than a month’s time. In preparation for the project, Furtado has released a new song from the LP titled ‘Parking Lot’.
Furtado previously performed the Darkchild-produced ‘Parking Lot’ last month at ‘The Sayers Club’ in Hollywood. ’The Spirit Indestructible’ will be released on September 11th and it is preceded by the singles ‘Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)’ and ‘Spirit Indestructible’.
Listen to the studio version of ‘Parking Lot’ below:
‘Parking Lot’ isn’t a bad record. However, the song seems perfect for Hip-Hop artists, such as M.I.A. Hopefully, Furtado has no plans on releasing this record as a single because the song gets very dull after the first listen. Indeed, she definitely needs to leave this record in the parking lot.

Nothing can save this era from a commercial standpoint, lets hope its at least remembered for the quality of the album itself. Fingers crossed!
@ Olly_tei, I agree because besides this site (and those that steal posts from this site), not many people are talking about Nelly. So those sales probably aren’t going to be good.
I like the song, although it does sound like a M.I.A. reject. I’ve actually liked most of the music that I’ve heard from the album, so I’ll be getting the album.
This song is really good. The live version is much better though. This could be a potential hit. She needs to push her album back, send this song for adds, and do more promo. She needs a hit…
She has an awful attitude in person…that’s all I’m going to say about this salty old big booty hag Nelly Furtado…like Trent always says…not trying to catch a case LOL
