Why bother reviewing Trey Songz’s music if he clearly doesn’t care about quality? Really, why should we put thought into it when he clearly hasn’t done the same? For example, listen to his new song, ‘Check Me Out’, which features Meek Mill and Diddy.
Set to appear as the closing track on Songz’s ‘Chapter V’ album, ‘Check Me Out’ is a typical shallow expression of bravado that could have been performed by anybody in the club over a glass of Ciroc vodka. Diddy didn’t pay for that product placement but he should slide me a cheque for giving his friend Songz more than 140 characters on this site.

I like the beat.
Trigga doesn’t realize his potential.
Such a shame. He makes such good music but his lyrics are sordid and filthy. Maybe he should change his name to Trash Songz! I couldn’t even tell where his part of the song was…
Why even release an album when you are releasing every song as a single? and even after hearing these singles I am not excited for the album. I will just buy the single “heart attack”

Another single? So….first Heart Attack, 2 Reasons, Dive In, Simply Amazing, Hail Mary, and now Check Me Out has all come out before the release of the album? Sheeez, why so many singles before the album? Its so confusing when artists do this because there is no anticipation leading up to the album release.
@DOMOdotSCORE, you are so right. He does not realize his potential, maybe after the sucess (or lack of) jury still out on this then he will figure it out. I actually like the guy but nothing he has released has done it for me.
Why doesn’t he just release a free mixtape instead of making an album if he’s just gonna have every song on there as a single?
