Alicia Keys’ global ‘Girl on Fire’ album campaign is in full swing. Last evening, the R&B singer made a guest appearance on ‘Alan Carr: Chatty Man’ where she performed the first buzz single from the record, ‘New Day’, for an audience that comprised fellow songstress Jessie J.
The husky-voiced Keys rose from behind her piano to hype the crowd during her rendition of ‘New Day’ yet still managed to sound exactly like the recorded version of the track. She showed similar vocal control while belting her new song, ‘Brand New Me’, during her set at the 2012 iTunes Festival later that evening.
Hey, Keys’s voice isn’t what it was in 2004 but at least she can still put forward a good show on some occasions. Watch her on ‘Alan Carr’ below:
