The new season of ‘Saturday Night Live’ kicked off last evening with a surprise live collaboration by two music’s most talked about stars. Both controversial for different reasons, Frank Ocean and John Mayer hit the stage on the iconic sketch show to perform songs from the former’s ‘channel ORANGE’ debut album.
Ocean sang renditions of ‘Thinkin’ Bout You’ and ‘Pyramids’ as Mayer strummed on his guitar. Don’t expect any fireworks during their set because as you should know by know, both acts are just here to perform their lyrics and move on.

I don’t know if Trent actually reads the comments but you should check out this artist from Miami named Steven A. Clark. He’s a singer/songwriter and he just released a free lp entitled F. U. C. K. It’s a really great effort and it has a different sound then a lot of r&b out.
He was absolutely lovely. It was so perfect. That’s how an R&B artist properly introduces himself to the world.
John Mayer is a beast though

maybe something is wrong with my ears but i dont call this music rnb nor am i hear for his vocals but thats just me love john mayer though
Pyramids don’t sound like R&B but I love the song& with John Mayer he’s great. Thinking about you is my jam.
I wouldn’t stake my name on labeling it as R&B but compared to what other people are calling R&B, you can hear it’s roots and influences more than in any other top 40 artist right now. So yes, I say R&B.
His vocals aren’t his selling point. I’m here for clever lyrics and great arrangements. He’s like any other singer/songwriter in that way.
