It looks as though Pink’s massive promotional campaign for her ‘The Truth About Love’ album is about to yield impressive results as the set is on course to top the Billboard 200. However, as the sales predictions indicate, the rocker will face strong competition from G.O.O.D. Music in her bid for US chart domination.
‘The Truth About Love’ is expected to land at #1 on the Billboard 200 next week with sales of 200K-225K copies. The record will be Pink’s first chart-topping album on the lineup if it beats the #2 peak of her previous best-performing set, ‘Funhouse’ of 2008.
Yet, Kanye West and his G.O.O.D. Music crew won’t accept defeat that easily. Despite suffering a slow start in sales as a result of the album’s initial absence from iTunes, the group’s ‘Cruel Summer’ is project to open at #2 on the Billboard 200 with 170K-190K copies sold. Reports suggest that the sales of the album will surge as the week continues.

Yes Pink! Her album is so good: fun, upbeat but she was still singing about deep, personal stuff. That’s how it’s done.
Her promo was interesting: she was everywhere yet nowhere at the same damn time. She let her music speak for itself.
Lets go Pink……..
The fact that the big artists like pink, usher etc.. are now debuting with 200k+ numbers and it’s the norm is just……. music today has gone to shit. 8yrs ago these same artists could command 1mil their first week and go on to sell 10mil. Now this is were we’re at. Sad
@Smh Omg! Yes! In 2012, the music industry is in utter turmoil which I doubt that it could ever truly bounce back from.
I can’t stand that album cover
1. Go Pink! Her album is good even if it is just another “I’m not dead” rehash, She deserves a No1 album though and she’s gonna get it
2. Hate the cover too…
3. The only way the music industry will recover (IMO) is if they crack down on illegal downloads (so that people have to buy legally) and lower the prices of the downloads / CD’s (so that people want to buy legally).
